Ethos

Hello all, I’d like to introduce myself and welcome you to this blog. Until working in an industrial museum I was new to stationary engines and still am to be honest. Since a few years ago I’ve found it a fascinating world and fallen in love with it. However, as a newcomer to the realm of stationary engines I’ve found it quite daunting with the amount of historical info and technical knowledge involved.

So, I thought I’d write this journal as it were to jot down my experiences of what I find, read, visit, and generally find interesting along the way and hope it will help/be of interest to other like-minded enthusiasts. I’ll also share some of the machines I run and the history behind them for those interested as I personally like to know where and what they were used for.

I’m also writing this to keep everything in one place for myself to look back upon and reflect on past experiences/findings.

Hope you enjoy reading,

Christopher J Parker
